How the three landmines score
Our spec score uses five checks from the makers’ own spec pages, weighted the same for every landmine. All three picks clear our 7.0 floor. The method is at the bottom of the page.
Life in Good Form spec score out of 10, from each maker’s spec page, read Oct 22, 2026. It is not a customer rating or a lab test.

Synergee’s Landmine Attachment is the one we’d point most home gyms to. It scored 8.8, the top score here, and it’s the only pick that isn’t tied to one rack brand or one hole size. You choose the version for your upright, and a converter swaps the peg between 5/8 and 1 inch holes.
Synergee sells it in three versions: one each for 2x2, 2x3 and 3x3 uprights. Those numbers are the outside size of the rack’s posts in inches. The listings we link are Synergee’s converter versions, which come with the adapter for both common hole sizes. Synergee calls the install tool-free.
It’s rated to 500 lb, the highest of any landmine we checked, and built from 11-gauge steel with a black powder coat. The sleeve is 8 inches deep, and a heavy-duty locking knob tightens on the bar, which Synergee says removes play and noise.
It takes both bar sizes. Synergee says the sleeve fits standard 1 inch bars and Olympic 2 inch bars, so an older standard bar can still be used. The inside is powder coated too, which Synergee says minimizes friction as the bar turns.
The trade-off is the pivot. Synergee describes a two-direction pivot with a 180° range of motion, where the REP Adroit spins a full 360°. For presses, rows and squats you work in front of the rack, so 180° covers the common lifts; wide rotational work is where a full circle helps.
Synergee’s warranty page lists landmine attachments at 1 year for home and commercial use. On Amazon, all three versions are sold by Synergee itself, and we link the 2x3 version first with the other two sizes just below. Synergee lists presses, rows, squats and twists for it.

PRx Performance’s Profile Landmine Attachment is the pick for the longest warranty. It scored 8.2. PRx lists squat rack attachments under a limited lifetime warranty on structural welds and hardware, for as long as the original buyer owns it. That’s the only lifetime cover here.
PRx builds it from 7-gauge steel, the thickest steel named by any maker we checked, with a black powder coat. It’s rated to 405 lb. The sleeve is 9 inches long on PRx’s spec table; the Amazon text says 10, and we go by the maker.
Fit is by hole pattern, not brand. PRx says it fits any upright or crossmember with 5/8 inch pin holes spaced 6 inches apart. Its Amazon listing names 2x3 and 3x3 squat racks and PRx’s own Profile racks. Measure from the center of one hole to the center of the next before you order.
On a 2x3 or 3x3 rack from another brand, those two numbers decide it, not the logo.
The pivot is 180° side to side and 90° up and down, per PRx. That covers presses, rows, squats and the core work PRx lists, plus belt squats, balance work and explosive lifts. When you’re done, the tube swings up and stays upright with an included retainer.
That retainer is for parking the landmine, not your bar. PRx says the Profile Landmine isn’t designed for bar storage, so keep your bar on the rack’s own storage and park the tube upright beside it.
The listing names an Olympic barbell, and PRx doesn’t list 1 inch bars, so plan on a 2 inch sleeve. On Amazon it’s sold by PRx Performance itself. PRx notes the coating and plastic parts carry 90 days, separate from the lifetime cover on the welds and hardware.

Your rack is another brand. The Synergee comes in sizes for most racks.
The REP x Kleva Built Adroit is the pick for REP racks. It scored 7.6. It’s the only pick that rotates a full 360°, and REP says it attaches without tools to any REP upright or crossmember with 5/8 or 1 inch holes. That covers REP’s 4000 and 5000 Series racks, its rigs and the Adonis.
Its score is lower because REP only lists its own racks. A rack from another brand with the same hole size may take it, but REP doesn’t say so, and we don’t score what a maker doesn’t publish. If your rack isn’t REP, the Synergee or PRx is the safer order.
The build is lighter than the steel picks. REP uses a powder-coated steel tube with a protective inner liner for your bar, plus anodized aluminum and polycarbonate parts. The rack-mounted unit weighs 3.56 lb and is rated to 450 lb, second only to the Synergee.
The tube is 2 inches across and 6.9 inches long, so it’s for Olympic bars only. It sticks out 3.5 inches from the upright, and the attachment stands 11.75 inches tall. REP lists rows, presses, thrusters, reverse lunges and landmine deadlifts for it.
REP says you can remove or add the sleeve adapter to change the pin size, so the same unit moves between 5/8 and 1 inch REP racks. A built-in magnetic mount lets you park the sleeve upright against a post or flat along a crossmember, so it isn’t sticking into the walkway between sets.
REP gives it a three-year warranty for home use and one year in a commercial gym. On Amazon it’s sold by REP itself. REP also sells a free-standing Adroit and a simpler steel landmine; this card covers the rack-mounted Adroit only.

360° swivel; takes 1 in to 2 in bars; sold by Amazon.com
Both are fine if you already own that brand’s rack. Titan’s fits its T-2 with an adapter tube and its T-3 and X-3 with a 5/8 inch pin. Sunny’s fits eight of its own Power Zone cages, but only together with its separate barbell holder. Neither maker says it fits other brands, which is why they score low on our biggest check.
What does a landmine attachment do?
It anchors one end of a barbell so the other end moves in an arc. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) calls it a single pivot point.
An arced bar path
ACE says the bar’s path follows the path of the major joints, which reduces stress on the joints, particularly shoulders and wrists.
Every direction
ACE says it trains all planes of motion and the five main movement patterns: bend-and-lift, single-leg, push, pull and rotation.
A gentler overhead press
The landmine press runs at an angle, so ACE calls it an accessible overhead press option.
Not for max lifts
ACE says landmine work isn’t ideal for maximal strength, like heavy squats or deadlifts, because load capacity is limited.
ACE describes landmine training as a barbell anchored at one end, in an attachment or “simply in the corner of a room.” The free end is what you press, pull, squat with or rotate. Because the bar is fixed at one end, it moves in a set arc. ACE says that arc mimics the path of the major joints.
ACE also notes the core does a lot of the work. Many landmine exercises need strong core stabilization, and they build both rotational strength and the strength to resist rotation. The thick end of the bar adds a grip challenge too.

If you own a power rack or squat stand, a rack-mounted landmine is usually the tidiest choice. It doesn’t take floor space, and two of the picks here park on the rack when you’re done: the REP on a magnet, the PRx upright with a retainer. Without a rack, look at a free-standing base instead; our power rack guide covers the racks these fit.

Check the rack brand
REP, Titan and Sunny landmines list their own racks.
Titan’s own rack names are a good example of why this matters. Titan says its T-3 uses 2x3 uprights and its X-3 uses 3x3 uprights, and its landmine fits both, plus the T-2 with an adapter tube. It doesn’t fit Titan’s top TITAN Series. Brand isn’t enough on its own; the series matters too.
How much weight can a landmine hold?
Every rating here is the maker’s own number. None of the makers publishes how it was tested.
Weight rating from each maker’s spec page, read Oct 22, 2026.
For most landmine work, the rating is a ceiling you won’t reach. ACE says landmine training isn’t ideal for maximal strength because of limited load capacity, A higher rating still tells you something about the build. The Synergee is 11-gauge steel, and the PRx is thicker 7-gauge steel.
180° or 360° pivot?
The pivot decides how far the bar can swing. Here’s what each maker states.

A rack-mounted landmine sits against the rack, so you train in the half circle in front of it. That’s why 180° covers presses, rows and squats. A full 360° matters more for wide rotations, sweeping side-to-side moves like the rainbows in ACE’s advanced circuit.

ACE’s advanced circuit moves on to a single-leg RDL row, an offset surfer squat, a squat hold press and rainbows. Because many landmine lifts load one side, ACE says to program both sides evenly so you don’t build an imbalance. For a full exercise list, ACE points to the Complete Guide to Landmine Training by David Otey and Joe Drake, with more than 80 exercises.
The press is the lift most people start with, since it’s in ACE’s beginner circuit. The arc lets you push up and forward instead of straight overhead, which ACE calls an accessible overhead press option.
Start with your rack: upright size, hole size, hole spacing and brand. Then decide whether you care more about spin, warranty or capacity. If you’re still choosing a rack, our squat stand guide covers lighter options, and our weight plates guide covers the plates you’ll load on the bar’s free end.
Questions people ask
What is a landmine attachment?
A sleeve that anchors one end of a barbell so the other end moves in an arc. ACE describes the anchored end as a single pivot point. You load plates on the free end and press, row, squat or rotate.
How do I choose the right landmine attachment?
Start with your rack: upright size (2x2, 2x3 or 3x3), hole size (5/8 or 1 inch) and brand. Then compare pivot range, weight rating and warranty. Our rack-fit finder does the first step.
What are the different types of landmine attachments?
Rack-mounted units that pin into an upright, free-standing floor bases, plate-post inserts and handles that slide onto the bar. ACE also mentions putting the bar end in the corner of a room.
What size barbell fits a landmine attachment?
All three of our picks take a 2 inch Olympic bar. The Synergee also takes 1 inch standard bars. REP’s Adroit tube is 2 inches across, for Olympic bars only.
What is the weight capacity of a landmine attachment?
It depends on the maker: Synergee rates its landmine to 500 lb, REP’s Adroit to 450 lb and PRx’s Profile to 405 lb. Titan rates its rack landmine to 315 lb; Sunny doesn’t publish one.
Will a landmine attachment fit my power rack?
Check upright size, hole size and hole spacing. The Synergee comes in 2x2, 2x3 and 3x3 versions with a 5/8 or 1 inch converter. PRx needs 5/8 inch holes 6 inches apart. REP lists only REP racks.
Does a landmine attachment rotate 360 degrees?
Some do. REP’s Adroit rotates 360°. Synergee lists 180°, and PRx lists 180° side to side and 90° up and down. On a rack, you train in front of the upright, so 180° covers most lifts.
Is a landmine press easier on the shoulders?
ACE says the landmine’s arced bar path reduces stress on the joints, particularly the shoulders and wrists, and calls the landmine press an accessible overhead press option. Talk to a clinician if you have a shoulder injury.
What can you do with a landmine attachment?
Presses, rows, squats, deadlifts, lunges, thrusters and rotations. ACE’s beginner circuit uses a two-arm press, goblet squat, kneeling push press and anchored deadbug.
Can I use a landmine without an attachment?
ACE says the bar can be anchored simply in the corner of a room. An attachment gives the bar end a sleeve to sit in, and a rack-mounted one keeps the floor clear.
Is a landmine good for heavy squats or deadlifts?
Not for maximal strength. ACE says landmine training isn’t ideal for heavy squats or deadlifts because of limited load capacity. For heavy deadlifts, see our trap bar guide.
Can I store my barbell in a landmine?
Not in the PRx Profile: PRx says it isn’t designed for bar storage. The REP Adroit stores itself on a magnetic mount, and the PRx tube parks upright with a retainer.
How we pick, and how the score works
Why trust us
Life in Good Form is owned and edited by Isaac Daniels. Every number on this page comes from the maker’s own page or Amazon listing text, or from the ACE article named in the sources below. We don’t run lifting tests, so we never present a number as measured by us.
Prices and photos come from Amazon and show the time they were read.
How we pick
Rack-mounted landmines only, so one formula fits every unit we score.
Each Amazon listing checked as genuine, new and in stock the day we updated, with the buy box held by the brand or Amazon.
Specs taken from the maker’s own page; where Amazon differs, the maker wins.
Titan’s and Sunny’s rack landmines were scored the same way and left out under 7.0.
Every pick scores 7.0 or more on our spec score below.
How the spec score is calculated
Every landmine we checked gets the same five checks, picks and left-out units alike. Each is scored out of 10, and the overall score is the weighted average. A landmine needs 7.0 or more to be a pick. It’s built from what the makers publish only. It isn’t a customer rating or a lifting test.
