Bearaby Cotton Napper

By Life in Good Form. Published October 14, 2026.

Bearaby’s Cotton Napper is sized for one person, and its dimensions change with its weight. Check those dimensions and your laundry equipment before choosing a blanket. A heavier option is not simply the same size with more weight inside.

This guide covers the maker’s product chart and care requirements for an adult buyer. We have not slept under the blanket, measured cooling or tested sleep outcomes. It does not determine whether a weighted blanket or a particular therapeutic weight is suitable for you.

Match the Cotton Napper’s weight to its dimensions

The Cotton Napper product page (bearaby.com) lists these four options. Bearaby says hand knitting can cause small differences in size and weight.

Maker’s Cotton Napper chart, in pounds and inches
Listed weightWidthLength
10 lb40 in.64 in.
15 lb40 in.72 in.
20 lb45 in.72 in.
25 lb48 in.72 in.

There are two different fit questions here. Moving from 10 to 15 pounds adds eight inches of listed length without adding width. Moving from 15 to 20 pounds adds five inches of width while retaining the same length. Those are chart comparisons, not recommendations to increase blanket weight.

Measure the coverage you want for one person before ordering. Do not assume the words “weighted blanket” mean full coverage of a queen or king mattress. Our weighted-blanket weight guide provides broader background; retain any individual care advice you have already received.

Make the laundry plan before the blanket arrives

Bearaby’s product care panel specifies cold water, a delicate or permanent-press cycle, mild detergent and low-temperature tumble drying. It says to avoid bleach, fabric softener, hanging to dry and top-loading washing or drying machines. Check the label supplied with your exact blanket.

The maker’s washing guide (bearaby.com) also says to check appliance capacity: the blanket becomes heavier when wet. It distinguishes machine-washable Cotton Nappers from other Bearaby products with different cleaning requirements, and notes that drying can take more than one cycle.

“Machine washable” therefore leaves a practical question unanswered: can your own washer and dryer handle this item using the required method? Check both appliance manuals. If your equipment does not qualify, work out a suitable laundry service before buying. Do not solve a capacity problem by forcing the blanket into a small drum or using a prohibited machine type.

Do not borrow care instructions from another Napper

Bearaby describes this Cotton Napper as an organic-cotton knit. Its FAQ (bearaby.com) distinguishes Cotton, Tree and Velvet Nappers and gives different care guidance for some of them. Keep the exact family name on your order, care label and cleaning plan consistent.

An open knit also does not establish how cool you personally will feel. Our cooling weighted-blanket guide discusses the broader selection problem. This page makes no measured temperature comparison or promise that the Cotton Napper will prevent overheating.
